Question:
My sweetie takes a medication for high blood pressure which is causing him not to have an erection or have desire then it just lasts 10 mins. It's very frustrating to me but I don't know how to approach the subject. I wear sexy lingeire, try other things but no change. How do I talk to him about this?

Great question.

It is important to understand that this issue isn't your fault it is the effects of the medication.

There are several things that your partner could try. He could discuss the effects of the medication with his doctor and perhaps switch to a different one or the doctor could presecribe a medication like Viagra that is appropriate for people with high blood pressure.

If this is not an option due to perhaps his discomfort discussing the topic with his doctor or it is not possible for him to change medications there are still other options available, but a little research and trying different things will need to be done to find out what works for both of you.

Editor's note: Rarely the use of Viagra with blood pressure medications can lower blood pressure too much. Working directly with your medical doctor regarding this issue is important.
