Question:
I have had sex a few times and everytime I do it I bleed for a couple days...kind of like I am on my period and also everytime I have sex it hurts really bad. It also hurts to use tampons now too.

Thank you for submitting your question. Usually, this bleeding will go away once your body becomes more comfortable with sexual intercourse. But if you are feeling pain during intercourse, there is a way to make sex feel more comfortable. Add water-based lubricant (you can get this at any drug store) to a condom or directly to your vulva and vagina. This should decrease the amount of pain. However, if this feeling continues (and the pain doesn't go away), you should see your gynecologist and make sure that nothing else is wrong. Hope this information helps…
