Question:
Hi. There is a bump on my clitoris that shouldn't be there. It's white, the size of a head of a pin. I noticed it about two months ago - my clitoris had ached and I noticed this thing there, under the hood. Ordinarily it doesnt hurt, but I am so scared. I've only had one irregular pap in my life, and that was about five years ago, everything's been fine since then. Also, I hadn't had any new partners for many months before this thing turne d up. Why is it there? CanI safely ignore it or could it be something a partner could catch?

Bumps and lumps on the genital region are always scary for the person who has them. Usually they are not very serious. Howvever, because it is impossible to tell the serious ones from the the not so serious ones by the way they look or feel, it's ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL that you be seen by a healthcare provider in order for you to stop worrying and to know what it is once and for all. Be good to your body and mind.Good luck!
