Question:
Hi, I am very uncomfortable by asking these questions. Are you supposed to shave your pubic hair? and this is my friend's question. she says that some of her private part is darker than the rest to the point that it looks like she doesn't wash there. Is there any way to make it look clean? and this question is for my other friend. She's Asian and what she's afraid of is that when you see the doctor to get birth control pills(I mean when the doctor like touches you and all that it might break her virginity) Is it ok for her to see the doctor or not? and when you answer the questions could you just send it to my e-mail? I don't want anyone to know. Thank you.

I hope that my answer is going directly back to your email. I just have a form to fill out and hit 'send' so I hope you get them OK. You don't need to be embarassed to ask these questions. They are excellent and then need to be answered. That is what I am here for. Are you supposed to shave your pubic hair? There is really no reason to shave your pubic hair. Years ago the hair used to be shaved when a woman was delivering a baby. Presently, the hair is just trimmed a little. When the hair grows back in after shaving it itches terribly. Sometimes people like to cut the pubic hair back so that it doesn't stick out the sides of a bikini bathing suit. There is nothing bad about shaving it except when it grows back in AND possibly cutting yourself when you shave. Many people do shave or wax to remove it but many others do not. Below is the answer to your friend's question: she says that some of her private part is darker than the rest to the point that it looks like she doesn't wash there. Is there any way to make it look clean? Actually the skin around the genitals often is darker than other places on the body. There is no way to make it look "clean" since it already is clean according to your friend. The skin is darker there for many because it has hair growing on it and many of the skin cells there have many blood vessels and nerve endings in them. She should not worry about it since others have this and she is very normal. this question is for my other friend. She's Asian and what she's afraid of is that when you see the doctor to get birth control pills(I mean when the doctor like touches you and all that it might break her virginity) Is it ok for her to see the doctor or not? There is nothing a doctor will do that makes a woman no longer be a virgin. The opening into the vagina can be examined, with a doctor inserting both a speculum which holds the walls of the vagina open so he/she can examine the cervix, and that does not affect virginity. Virginity is affected by the penis going into the vagina. EVen then, no one could tell even upon examination that a woman was not a virgin. There is little physical change, since the hymen which is the skin surrounding the opening is pushed to the side by sexual intercourse. Often it looks exactly the same in a non-virgin than a virgin. Tell your friend not to worry. She may need to have the birth control and not to get it puts her at risk for pregnancy.
