Thank you for submitting your question. I know that this can be a frustrating situation so I will do my best to help you. There are times when our bodies are not as prepared to have sexual intercourse as we would like (lack of vaginal lubrication). If we have not experienced a sufficient amount of stimulation this can happen – but this can also happen depending upon the physical environment inside of the vagina. However, there are ways to make sexual intercourse a pleasurable experience again. Most drug stores sell lubricants (near the condom section). Purchase a WATER-BASED lubricant and place some on a condom or directly around/inside the vagina. (Our bodies are all different, and sometimes lubricated condoms don't have enough lubrication on them for our particular body). Adding lubrication should make those feelings of pain go away and make sexual intercourse pleasurable again. If this problem continues (after you have tried the lubricant), I would suggest that you see your gynecologist or another doctor that you are comfortable with. I hope this advice helps and that you are soon enjoying your sexual experiences. P.S. It is always important to buy water-based lubes because oil based lubes (such as petroleum jelly or Vaseline) will tear condoms and can breed bacteria (causing infection)! There are also water-based lubes with spermicide, which provide additional protection from sexually transmitted infections.
