Question:
My boyfriend ejaculates a large amount of sperm. I've tried douching right afterwards and vaginal powder to absorb wetness. What else can I do?

Dear Madam
Thank you for your question. I understand you are using some form of contraception. The normal ejaculate is between 2 and 5 cc in volume. This is sometimes percieved as excessive. You can solve this problem by (Your boyfriend) using a condom, or you using a diaphragm. The diaphragm especially can be more sueful in this case. Not being used as a contracetptive, you remove it right after intercourse, and douche, very little semen will remain inside.
Using a tampoon after intercourse may be tried, but you should not leave it for long periods. Reviewed by Sexual Health Editorial Team
