Question:
In March, I began taking a low-dose oral contraceptive to help regulate my periods while I took a break from Clomid. Since then, intercourse has become painful for me. Even when I do engage in foreplay and become lubricated, I'm still very tight and penetration of any kind hurts. I have not let my husband know about this. Using tampons doesn't bother me very much. Could this extra tightness be caused by the birth control pills?

Dear Madam Thank you for using our service. Birth control pills cannot cause a physical tightness. So, as you said, when you use tampoons you do not feel any problem. If the problem is mainly with the husband, many other factors are in. The clearest to me is, as you said, related to your sex drive, as you named it. Birth control pills may have an effect on decreasing your desire or drive (or libido), but you said: before going back to the pills. So I guess you have been using it before and did not get the same pain with it. If it is a new brand for you, ask your doctor to shift you back to your original one. If not, may be the pills are not to be blamed. If you feel that is related to your pregnancy loss, and then the idea of stopping the trial... You ARE using contraceptive pills... If you think this may be a cause, I think you may need some counceling there.
