Question:
hi and thanx for helping me out.my dorsal vein has been swollen for a couple of months now and when i went to see my physician about it he told me to hold back my foeskin and clean the head of my penis with soap water because the swelling must be due to some sperm residue left from ejaculation.i checked the internet and got kinda freaked out wen i saw there's a desease called mondor's desease with the same symptoms,,i wanted to ask you whether using soap water on it is adequate or would u suggest any alternative method of getting rid of the swelling.

Nope, don't get freaked out. The simpliest answer is usually the right one and the internet is a great way to freak yourself out as to what POSSIBLY might happen. Follow the doctor's instructions and it will most likely go away. If it's not cleared up soon, go back, and to a urologist. Good Luck and thanks for writing in! Megan Andelloux
