Question:
my boy friend loses his erection during sex and or when he is ready to ejaculate he does'nt he loses his erection, what can be the problem?

A healthy young man who was functioning normally but developed a recent difficulty in maintaining erections would probably be suffering from performance anxiety. Fear of failure would lead to failure due to anxiety and what is termed a ‘spectator’s role’. Instead of relaxing and enjoying the sexual experience, men with performance anxiety are observing their erections. This distraction would decrease the excitement and might lead to failure, thus a vicious circle of failure leading to failure continues. Any man might fail from time to time due to various reasons but a persistent problem warrants evaluation by an Andrologist or sex therapist to confirm the diagnosis, excludes physical (organic factors) and initiate appropriate therapy. If the problem were truly psychogenic, psychosexual therapy would help break the performance anxiety trap. The general advice is not to concentrate on the outcome of the sexual experience but rather to relax and enjoy giving and receiving stimulation. Reduction of performance anxiety and providing a high level of stimulation might be achieved through the sensate focus exercises (relaxed sensual massage). These exercises are prescribed by a sex therapist and include both partners taking turns at giving and receiving stimulation while forbidding genital touching, vaginal penetration and orgasm.
