Question:
Recently a new friend told me he had to have penile reduction surgery..is there such a surgical procedure?? I'm very skeptical.

It is possible to reduce the size of the penis but in 19 years of practice I met only one patient who was concerned regarding an above-average penile size. He didn’t require surgical treatment. To our knowledge, the medical literature has no mention of such a procedure. The only instance where we shorten a penis is during correction of a penile curvature where we shorten one side of the penis to straiten the curvature.Reviewed by Sexual Health Editorial Team
