You are probably referring to sperm when you write that "semen dies". Semen is the whitish fluid that the male body produces in order protect sperm as it matures and passes through the reproductive tract to the outside. Semen is made of sugars and other substances that keep sperm, which is very fragile from dieing. Sperm, the reproductive cells that can cause pregnancy, are very fragile. They cannot live in the air and even can die in the vagina once exposed to a woman's vaginal fluids. That is why they need so much protection. Thanks for the great question and feel free to explore this site and others such as www.sxetc.org, www.teenwire.com, or www.goaskalice.com (if the .com doesn't work put in org for these) to gather more information.
