Rajendra Sathe

Biography: Dr. Rajendra Sathe is from Pune – India. He graduated from the University of Pune in 1979, completed his diploma in Homeopathic Medicine in 1982 and obtained his degree in Medicine in 1989. Dr. Sathe is a member of the Indian Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (IASECT) and a fellow of Council of Sex Education and Parenthood (International) - CSEP(I). Dr. Sathe is in private practice in the city of Pune (India) and specializes in counseling and treatment of all kinds of male/female sexual dysfunction. Focusing on natural methods to overcome sexual difficulties, he believes in educating and modulating lifestyle as first line therapy for his patients. Identifying medical conditions and treating drug induced (medication for acute/chronic diseases) sexual problems are his area of interest. He penned a self-help book titled 'Kama-Tantra: Prem-Tantra' (Art and Science of Sexual Loving) in 1996. The book (in English) was reviewed by: Dr. Beverly Whipple (co-author of the international best-seller, ‘The G Spot and Other Recent Discoveries about Human Sexuality’) who writes, "This book combines recent research findings with ancient knowledge. Very interesting reading for the common person." In her critique Dr. Banoo Coyaji (Director, KEM Hospital, Pune & Magasaysay award winner) writes "for the first time here is a good book on such a theme, which demystifies the complex concepts and makes them amenable to any ordinary reader." He authored a chapter on premature ejaculation and retarded ejaculation in the book ‘Therapy of Common Sexual Problems’ published by Family Planning Association of India. As director of Maritosexual And Reproductive Research Institute (MARRI), Dr. Sathe is interested in researching sexual physiology and behavior. A fitness enthusiast, his hobbies include jogging, tennis (level 4-4 ½), swimming, listening to Indian/Western music and watching movies.
