Biography: Dr. Ghanem graduated from Medical School, Cairo University, Egypt, 1982 and completed the residency-training program in Andrology, Sexology & Sexually Transmitted Diseases. He trained as a fellow in Male Sexual Function, Reproduction, Laser and micro-surgery, University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa, USA (1987-1988) and later in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas (1988-1989).
Dr. Ghanem obtained a doctorate degree (1990) in Andrology, Sexology and STDs. He is currently a Professor in the department of Andrology & Sexology in Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt. Dr. Ghanem’s publications included over 30 research articles in various medical journals, mainly in the International Journal of Impotence Research and the Journal of Sexual Medicine. He is also a member of the international society of sexual medicine, manager of its email discussions and member of several of its committees including the communication committee and standards committees.
