Aline Zoldbrod, Ph.D., a Boston-based licensed psychologist, is certified as a sex therapist by the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists and the American Board of Sexology.

She is on the staff of Winchester Hospital and Lahey Clinic. She has been in practice for more than 25 years, working with straight, bisexual, and homosexual men and women, young and old.

Her training has been extremely varied, including bioenergetics psychoanytically-oriented psychotherapy, hypnosis, imagery, and multimodal behavior therapy.

She is certified in EMDR, a proven treatment for psychological trauma. Dr. Zoldbrod did her undergraduate work at Oberlin College, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with High Honors in Sociology and Anthropology. Dr. Zoldbrod was awarded her doctorate from Brandeis University, after she won a special fellowship to pursue her doctoral research.

Besides SexSmart, she is the author of Getting Around the Boulder in the Road: Using Imagery to Help with Fertility Problems (Lexington, 1990) and Men, Women and Infertility: Intervention and Treatment Techniques (Lexington Books, 1993), and both have been highly recommended by National RESOLVE (the infertility support organization) and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.)
