Wendy Maltz

Biography: Wendy Maltz, M.S.W., is an internationally recognized therapist and expert on healthy sexuality and sexual healing.   A frequent lecturer, she is author of The Sexual Healing Journey: A Guide for Survivors of Sexual Abuse (HarperCollins, 1991/2001, over 100,000 copies sold), coauthor of Private Thoughts:  Exploring the Power of Women’s Sexual Fantasies (New World Library, 2001, formerly entitled In the Garden of Desire), coauthor of Incest and Sexuality: A Guide to Understanding and Healing (Lexington Books, 1987, a professional classic, over 60,000 copies sold), and editor of two poetry anthologies which celebrate healthy sexual intimacy:  Passionate Hearts: The Poetry of Sexual Love  (New World Library, 1997) and Intimate Kisses:  The Poetry of Sexual Pleasure (New World Library, 2001).

            A licensed clinical social worker, licensed marriage and family therapist, and certified sex therapist, Wendy has more than 25 years of clinical experience treating sex, intimacy, and relationship concerns.  She has written and narrated two highly acclaimed video productions for couples:  “Partners in Healing” and “Relearning Touch.” Wendy  is co-director, with her husband Larry, of Maltz Counseling Associates in Eugene, Oregon.
