Private and Secure

There is nothing more personal and private than your sexual health. We understand and are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your protected health information.

What is protected health information?

Protected health information (PHI) is any information about the status of your health condition, the delivery of care, or payment for services that can be directly linked to a specific person.

What’s the difference between confidential and anonymous testing?

The terms Confidential testing means that test results and your identifying information will not be revealed to anyone except technical personnel in accordance with specified safeguards governing access and specific public health departments for disease tracking. Anonymous testing allows a person to get tested using an alias. Positive test results would be reported to the state using the alias name provided.

If I test positive for an STD, will you notify state or local public health agencies?

The Analyte Physicians Group abides by all state and federal laws that require physicians, healthcare facilities and clinical diagnostic laboratories to report all laboratory-confirmed cases of HIV and other STDs to health departments or other agencies. Information required varies by state but may include patient name, date of testing, age and other pertinent information. In the case of anonymous testing, positive results would be reported using the alias name provided.

Will my personal health information be included in email communication?

Absolutely not. We will send you email alerts from "info@apgservicesinc.com." There will be no mention of STD testing in the emails. The alerts simply provide a link for you to log in to your password-protected account where you can access test results and other private messages.

How do LabCorp and Quest Diagnostics protect my privacy?

Your Test Request for LabCorp or Quest Diagnostics will not be submitted to your insurance company. However, if you choose to provide your insurance information to the lab for reimbursement, they will share the information with your insurance for this purpose. LabCorp and Quest Diagnostics will never share your information, except as required by law to a public health authority to report, prevent or control disease.

Do you sell or share my email information?

No. We will not sell or share your email or other personal data. Please review our Privacy Policy.

How do you maintain site security while protecting my information?

We apply high level data security standards. This includes 128-bit encryption and HL-7 interfaces for all health data transmission. HL-7 is the industry standard for providing a framework and standards for the exchange, integration, sharing and retrieval of electronic health information between systems.

Do you store my credit care information?

No. Your credit card information is securely transmitted to the credit card processor and is not stored.

How can I protect my account? Don’t share your password or PIN.
