Love and Relationships: Differences in Sexual Desire
Differences in Sexual Desire Introduction: A challenge many partners face is a difference in sexual desire. One partner may feel in the mood for sex all the time, while the other may have little or no interest. Sexual desire is not determined by any one factor – people often simply have different levels. When this is not talked about – or, when it is talked about within the context of one partner convincing another to have sex or “giving in” even when she or he does not want to have sex – it creates serious problems for a relationship. This channel provides examples of how couples with different levels of sexual desire and interest can communicate about this openly and seek common ground so that both partners feel comfortable, safe and satisfied within the relationship.
