The New Lies About Womens Health

Saturday, April 29th, 2006

Another reason for all of us to learn to be better consumers in our health care. Unfortunately, government associated agencies may not those that we rely on. Too much money has gone behind the “curtain” to uphold moralistic agendas…at the expense of all of us. Read on…

“Dr. Shaber tries hard to separate fact from fiction because, she says, “rumor and hearsay can start to seem real.” In the past, she’d sometimes refer patients to government websites and printed fact sheets, or rely on those outlets to help create her own materials. Wednesday, April 19th is International Denim Day! Do you know why?

Tuesday, April 18th, 2006

This month of April is National Sexual Assault Awareness month. As part of this, April 19th, is International Denim Day. We urge ALL OF YOU to wear your blues tomorrow to show solidarity with the outrage of a court decision in Italy a couple years ago where a man was found not guilty of a rape of a woman, despite other evidence, on the basis that the woman was wearing tight jeans (or, as many call, DENIM) and, therefore, could not pull them off to rape the woman. There are events through out the U.S.A. commemorating this outrage so check your local event listings, especially with your local RAPE CRISIS CENTER, to join in. At least, where BLUE JEANS and let others know why!
